This project was quite laborious, but with hard work comes great reward! In June of 1914, Eatonton/Putnam County was fortunate enough to be chosen as a site for a Carnegie Library. This facility has grown with the city and county to include several additions and renovations. Fast forward 106 years and many coats of paint over the interior of the Carnegie Wing and Azalea Regional Library System committed to an interior restoration. Bookshelves, windows, casing and trim and all original hardwood flooring were taken back to bare wood and refinished to take this space back to its original glory. This restoration is one that the residents and patrons of the library can all be proud of.
